Nikita Aris was born to Alexei Aris and Addison Aris, in London England. She is an only child. While living in Camden she worked as a waitress at a local bar while also attending university; studying History and Teaching, she wanted to become a History Teacher. Nikita has always had an interest in the history of the world, from Egypts Pharaoh's, to the Kings and Queens of Europe, and the presidents of America, etc. Just after she had graduated, her mother was killed in a car accident that left her father and her destroyed. Her father, a lawyer, had thrown himself into work leaving little contact with Nikita. As much as she tried to converse with him, he continued to shut her out, not allowing her in. Months pass after the funeral and no word has been mentioned between the pair, leaving Nikita wallowing in grief on her own.. One day Brett, Nikita’s friend from school, approaches her and tells of his plans to travel through Europe and eventually America. Nikita, finding this to be the perfect chance to not only get away from the memories left at home, but a chance to really get to see History’s mark that it had left on the world, offers to tag along, which Brett greatly accepts.
Brett and Nikita begin to plan their trip. Nikita picks up extra shifts while at work, trying to save the extra money she needs for the trip. Brett thinks this is crazy, he believes that they can just wing it and pick up odd jobs along the way and sleep in hostels or tents. As much as the idea appeals to Nikita, she still thinks money is going to be a big thing especially when plane fares will be needed to be paid. Brett willingly agrees and starts his saving as well. With everything in order in way of money, airfare accommodations, ect, the pair use Nikita’s car to drive toward Scotland where they plan to ditch the car by selling it off, and use the money to move on to Ireland. Travelling throughout Ireland, they take off to France, then Germany, and on to Italy. Brett decides he wants to visit Italy so they get the train from Germany to Italy where they visit Rome and Volterra. It’s there that Nikita gets wrapped into the story about St. Marcus, and wants to do the tour of the castle, which Brett reluctantly agrees to, even though the story of St. Marcus seems silly to him (who believes in vampires right?)
However, they decide to take a tour for a later date, having a prior engagement. They enjoy the city of Volterra. On the day that they are to take the tour, Nikita becomes ill with food poisoning, leaving her to spend the remainder of their time in Italy in bed. Nikita had tried to get Brett to go on without her, but he kept denying her request, saying he only wanted to go because she did. With money lost and no more reasons to keep them in Italy, they decided to move on, their next destination being Greece. Getting a ferry from Italy to Greece, Nikita found herself getting even more ill, yay for sea sickness. Once in greece, they decide to spoil themselves and stay in a hotel for a night. While out enjoying the nightlife, something makes Nikita feel off. She feels like she is being watched. The entire night had been wrong in the eyes of Nikita just because of a “feeling”. But she didn’t want to ruin Brett’s mood, who seemed a lot happier while travelling instead of being cooped up in England.
Nikita and Brett spend a few weeks in Greece, more time then they have spent anywhere else, before moving on to Romania. It’s in Romania that things change. Everything changes, they decide to visit the castles throughout Romania, including Bran Castle. However, while visiting Peles Castle, they become separated from the group while Nikita is trying to find somewhere she can use a bathroom. Brett and Nikita get lost trying to find their way back to the group they had arrived with. Nikita thinks someone is following them, she has had this feeling since Italy, and can’t shake it. But when Brett goes to see if anyone was, he comes across a small child who too had been lost. Nikita feeling even more silly let it go and they eventually catch up to the group and leave the castle. A few days later while they decide to go Skiing in Poiana Brasov, they are off skiing when Brett goes missing. Nikita trying to find him even in the dense snow, she was unable too. Right when she goes to give up hope on the chance of finding him, she hears a noise, something that sounds like Brett. As she hurries after the sound, she realises she is going further and further away from where they had been told to stay for safety. But she didn’t care, she had to find Brett. She eventually finds Brett passed out against a tree.
Nikita rushing to his side to see if she can aid him, is eventually knocked out.
Days pass for all she knows and Nikita is woken by water being tossed all over her. She wakes to find several others in a cell, along with Brett, who seems worse for wear and is looking down at her with concern. Straightening herself up, Nikita is informed by Brett and others that they are in a castle that was rumoured to belong to “Dracula”. Nikita didn’t want to believe this, vampires and shit, something she never had really believed in (until she took the trip, of course). However, people begin to get taken from the cells one at a time but never return.. That’s until it was Bretts turn. He left and didn’t return for a week, he had changed. Brett was different and he was proud in telling Nikita this, and he had no problems telling Nikita that he had saved her to be vampire.. It was that, or to die.
Nikita reluctantly decides to become a vampire so she can be with Brett, so she didn’t have to die.
[Notes: - The Vampires in Romania that Brett and Nikita are taken by aren’t Vlad and Stefan, but do tell them that they work for them.|| Brett and Nikita’s relationship changes along the way starting off as childhood friends, eventually becoming “Lovers”.|| Nikita does send letters back to her father, even though he never calls, texts, or emails back. This does hurt Nikita, but Brett pulls her out of the funk. || The reason Nikita had felt uneasy from Greece was because they were being scouted by the vampires they were stolen by since Italy. || Nikita will have a gift, the writer will reveal what it is in the SL, and it has been approved by the admin.|| Brett is allowed to be an open role, background up to player but must involve the fact that Brett and Nikita are life long friends.]
