The Egyptian Coven is one of the oldest -- if not the oldest -- vampire coven to exist. The remaining three members are just the a piece of what the extensive coven used to be, before the Romanians rose up and claimed power. The Volturi might turn their nose up at the hunters, just to get the Cullen's out of the way. But what if Amun has decided it's time for his coven to be back where they belong, and restore the peace that's long since been forgotten in the vampire world? He wasn't below hiding Ben from the world, until Ben took off on his own. He wouldn't be below exposing the Volturi Coven and pointing fingers towards them. Maybe the hunters could wipe them out, too? Or maybe.. just maybe, Amun will meet his end, if one of his coven members winds up infected.
